OK friend, I've got your attention, now hear my story.

The XLint Performance, Vintage Honda XL web site has far exceeded my expectations in garnering interest.

In fact, it has become so successful, if one can measure success in the statistics that show unique visitors and daily "hits", that in early 2000 my Internet Service Provider (ISP) was surcharging my monthly bill for "excess bandwidth". 

In April 2000, the web page hits counter, SuperStats, was showing 600 to 700 hits per day, with a monthly projection of well over 20,000 hits per month, and nearly 5000 unique monthly visitors.

So, the first of May 2000 the web site was moved to an international server, webhosting.com, to eliminate the excess bandwidth charges, and to provide faster uploads, and guaranteed on-line service.

As of September 3, 2000 the number of monthly hits, reported by Web Trends, exceeded 85,000 (see below), and as of November 1, 2000, the number of hits exceeded 125,000 (see below).

Currently, web hits are exceeding 275,000 per month, due in part to the popularity of my Bulletin Board.

I believe that my site is an excellent "portal" that can draw more customers to your business. Advertising on my site is inexpensive, two plans are currently offered:

1. advertising banner placement on the home page, directly under the XLint Performance name, (contact me for current rate and terms).

2. your logo, banner, or visual link presented in the left hand navigation column, $25 per month.

To track ad effectiveness, I will form a unique page on my site for each ad placement. Clicking on your banner or logo will display a navigation page, which will have a counter. Then, at the first of each month, I will send you the "hits" counter statistics for your page. I can write the ad copy, or you can suggest copy for me to include on your unique navigation page. One caveat, I retain the right to accept or refuse advertisers and content as I seem appropriate to my viewing audience.

Your ad will begin on the day I receive payment. One month from the day I receive payment I will expect another payment or the ad will be terminated. Should you decide that the ad is not working to your expectations then simply don't send the payment -- simple, no contracts, no commitment, no hassle; let sales and statistics by your determining factors.

Visitors to my site are generally males between the ages of 25 and 55, who enjoy a hobby that requires a comfortable lifestyle allowing some discretionary spending.

Your motorcycle or related business will obviously benefit from the qualified click-thrus generated by my site.
