Champion XL250

20 December 2000

From Michelle in San Francisco

The bike is a XL250 bored out to a 350. there is a 1.5 inch dent in the pipe. there is no odometer only a tachometer that displays RPMs. The tank and frame are in great condition. I ride the bike to school and back three times a week. It runs great. With a little more love, it could be taken back to original condition. Also, it was very recently tuned, carbs re-jetted and two new tires.

From an eBay ad on 21 December 2000

VERY RARE 1970'S VINTAGE CAFE RACER. One of a kind! CHAMPION racing frame, Aluminium RICKMAN Tank, TOMMASELLI Italian clip ons, HONDA XL 350 with Magnesium engine sidings, fabricated front and back disk brakes, TRIUMPH exhaust , CUSTOM aluminum front fender and CUSTOM cafe seat. Very sexy! Runs great!

The frame is nickel plated. Previous owner had the engine bored out from a 250 to a 350 by the folks at Yoshimura supposedly. Bike needs a little TLC to return to original glory.
